Ministry to Adults

Each Sunday we have a small group Sunday School classes that instruct people in the Word of God. This a time where we can talk frankly about the Bible, ask questions, and receive instruction. Following the Sunday School class our worship service begins where sermons are delivered in an engaging way so that one can grow closer in Jesus Christ in spiritual maturity.

Wednesday evenings provide an opportunity to gather in the home of one of our members for prayer and Bible study. This is an informal time where we can dialogue freely about matters of faith and life, as well as pray for one another.

For 2 months out of the year, our church sends people to work at N.I.C.E. (Neighbors in Christ Ecumenical). N.I.C.E. is a local food pantry that provides food supplies, clothing, household goods, toys, school supplies, and many other things to needy families in Lee County.

Each month we support the Shabonna Nursing Home by having a worship service there.

Ministry to Kids

Outreach to children is of great importance to us. That is why we offer Sunday school classes for kids of all ages on Sunday mornings. The children do join us in the the worship service as we sing, but then are dismissed before the sermon for a special Children’s Church. In this service they hear a message from the Bible that is age-appropriate and relevant for their young lives.
